Inability to control voiding of urine or feces. Urinary incontinence is usually caused by a neurological deficit or by a tumor disease that extends to certain zones. It consists of a constant and unpredictable flow of urine, unresponsive to treatment, and which goes completely unnoticed. Fecal incontinence also occurs due to a neurological deficit or due to a tumor disease in certain zones of the rectum and anal sphincter, and is a change in bowel habits characterized by involuntary discharge of stools with total sphincter relaxation and no sensation of what is occurring.
