Last Thursday, September 20 and Friday, September 21 MD Anderson Cancer Center Madrid – Hospiten, in collaboration with Pfizer, organized a preceptorship focused on the clinical management of neuroendocrine tumors. With the main objective of highlighting these tumors and looking at the new challenges faced by health professionals dedicated to this discipline, Dr. Enrique Grande, head of the Medical Oncology Service at MD Anderson Madrid – Hospiten, has led the conference accompanied by other experts in the field like Dr. Gema Moreno, head of the Translational Research Laboratory, or Dr. Juan Jose Diez, head of the Endocrinology Service at the Puerta de Hierro University Hospital.

Aimed at specialists in oncology with at least four years of experience in the treatment of patients, the meeting aimed to analyze the present and future of the diagnostic processes and treatment of this type of tumor, as well as to debate issues such as the suitability of Neuroendocrine Tumors Committees or the importance of research on rare tumors like these.

In addition, the multidisciplinary treatment that MD Anderson Madrid – Hospiten offers in its daily clinical practice was also revealed during the conference thanks to the exhibition and discussion of real clinical cases during the preceptorship.
