In line with their desire to help fight cancer, “Sonrisas que dan vida” has presented MD Anderson Cancer Center Foundation Spain with a check for 8,000 €. The money was raised at the first Fundraising Gala organized by the charity, set up by Ana Sanchez Rebollo, a patient a MD Anderson Cancer Center Madrid – Hospiten. Ana founded “Sonrisas que dan vida to help cancer research and to support others going through the same situation as she is. 

The charity raised 8,000 € through donations made at the Fundraising Gala and presented the sum in the form of a check to Pedro Luis Cobiella, president of MD Anderson Cancer Center Foundation Spain, who thanked Ms. Sanchez for the kind gesture. MD Anderson Foundation Spain sees the donation as yet another grain of sand in the fight against the disease and greatly appreciates the involvement of this patient and her organization in helping to eradicate cancer.

Research is a fundamental part of what MD Anderson Foundation Spain does and in the advancement of the fight against cancer. So, this donation contributes to supporting the objectives of the foundation: to promote advances through research, foment training for specialists, educate the public on cancer prevention and improve the quality of life of cancer patients.
